Santa Monica Beach is the westernmost point of the historic Route 66 and is one of the easiest beaches to access from the city. Santa Monica is one of the classic beaches in Los Angeles and you can also include the nearby Venice Beach.

This studio tour is Los Angeles is special for Friends and The Big Bang Theory fans as they can experience the world of hit TV shows.
>> OUE Skyspace and Skyslide
OUE Skyspace is California’s highest open-air observation deck situated at a height of 304.8 meters.
From this deck, visitors have 360 degree views of Los Angeles and can ride the Skyslide, a glass slide that goes from the 70th to 69th floors. The slide is short, but the view of the city below is a highlight.

>> El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic District
El Pueblo de Los Angeles is the city's birthplace and one of the best places to understand the city’s early history. Spanish and Mexican influences are visible, and the area’s museums deepen the experience. La Plaza de Cultura y Artes is a museum that specializes in Mexican American history and is very popular.
Chinatown has a Chinese cultural center. On Olvera Street and Little Tokyo there are small areas where you can experience Mexican and Japanese culture, eat traditional food, and shop for souvenirs.

El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic District
This historic district, located near LA Union Station, has been preserved as a state historic park as Los Angeles has grown around it. The areas of strong Mexican influence tell the story of the city’s early migration history. There are plenty of museums and at Olvera Street you can buy Mexican snacks and souvenirs.
>> Aquarium of the Pacific, Whale Watching and USS Iowa
The Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach features a large model of a blue whale and marine habitats representing the Tropical Pacific, Southern California and Baja California, and the Northern Pacific as far north as Japan. Each habitat has a variety of marine life.
Once you see the whale model, you can take a whale-watching cruise that leaves from the harbor. Blue whales are present from January to October. Mid-December to mid-May is the gray whale migration, so you may see them as well. There may be an opportunity to see humpback whales and orcas.
Visits to the USS Iowa (BB61) Battleship are available as well. This ship was a WWII flagship and has had more US Presidents aboard than any other ship.

THEME PARKS IN LOS ANGELES: THE CLOSEST WAY TO ENJOY YOURSELF

Universal Studios Hollywood started as a movie production company and has now become a theme park that combines Hollywood franchises and special effects attractions.
Some attractions are based on The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Minions, Jurassic Park, Shrek, The Simpsons, The Mummy, Transformers, and The Walking Dead (opened in 2017).
The Studio Tour is a must. Real production sites are used to create special effects like plane crashes, floods, and explosions. This is finished off with a light show on the castle.

Disneyland Resort
Disneyland opened in 1955 and is the first of all the Disney theme parks, followed by Universal Studios Hollywood. At Disneyland Park, located at the center of the park by Sleeping Beauty Castle, there are several themed lands, Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, New Orleans Square, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Mickey’s Toontown and Tomorrowland. This is not a children’s park; it is a theme park for everyone at every age.
Popular rides are Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars Launch Bay, Splash Mountain and It’s a Small World. The traditional finale of the park is the fireworks show over the castle, and the turkey legs where also the first to be sold at the park are very famous.

At LEGOLAND California where you can find 50+ rides, shows, attractions, and even miniature scenes made out of LEGOs, and city models made with LEGOs.
It’s especially suited to the 2 to 12 age range, with rides, and plenty of hands-on play and creative activities. For older visitors, it might just be a nice trip down memory lane.

LEGOLAND California
LEGOLAND was opened on March 20, 1999 in Carlsbad, California. The main focus for LEGOLAND is children ages 2-12. Encouraging building, climbing and imaginative play is the focus of the attractions. The construction-toy brand LEGO originated in Billund, Denmark and has become synonymous with creativity, and childhood play.

Take the I-5 South to Carlsbad, exit at Palomar Airport Road and follow the signs.
>> Six Flags Magic Mountain
Located just over an hour away by car from Los Angeles is Six Flags Magic Mountain. Some Chinese travelers may not be familiar with it, but it is extremely well known in North America, and especially among roller-coaster fans.
The reason for this is simple: this is a park for people who want to test their nerve with all sorts of long, high-speed, standing, inverted, spinning and VR coasters.
